About

The great masters of romanticism have sparked Luanna’s new collection of paintings, alongside her ongoing reflections of moments, connections and travel.

Luanna Flammia

Luanna’s paintings evoke a feeling of being at one with nature and wanting to explore the unknown, following in the footsteps of the Hudson River Artists (1825) expressing a modern take on such monumental artwork. The popular artist is known for her use of Silver leaf and 24ct Gold submerged onto and beneath layers of oil, acrylic and ink, creating transparency and perspective which reference landscape connotation.

Luanna has mastered her signature technique of layering both vertically and horizontally creating balance and range. Each line representing different friendships and relationships, each connected and overlapping with one another.

Pre-Covid travels have inspired Luanna’s colour pallet, each stroke can be compared to the depths of the Black Forest, Germany. The vibrancy of the pigments are reminiscent of colourful North and Southern India, as well as Swiss influences of medieval architecture and Fresco paintings from a small town, Stein en Rein.

Luanna’s abstract paintings represent a deep and personal journey exploring aspects and characteristics of ourselves which make us who we are.
