What Is Brighter Days?

So what a year we’ve all experienced, whilst Covid-19 is still active, it is set to make a dissaperance this Summer. When lockdown began last year we thought, what could possibly get any worst? We were surprised when my mother was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.

Time passed and acceptance of my mums illness became the norm, ups and downs followed within every good and bad moment.

As a family we are hopeful and optimistic about the journey and the end result, this led me to create a collection of artworks based on my mums battle through cancer, the good and bad days and the constant fight towards BRIGHTER DAYS.

Brighter Days is set to inspire all, especially those who are on a journey, my aim is to bring light back into darker days.

What are they made from ?

With over 30 pieces in the collection, all titles are key words and phrases picked by my mum and influenced by her experience through her journey. All artworks are original paintings on 400gsm card. All paintings are made with acrylic, oil, ink, gold foil and silver leaf.

FUNDRAISING WITH THE LEWIS FOUNDATION

We have teamed up with The Lewis Foundation who provide support packs and gifts for cancer patients during chemotherapy. 50% of all art sales will be donated to their fun and uplifting causes.

The Lewis Foundation delivers over 2,500 gifts to seven hospitals in the East Midlands every month.Packs contain overnight essentials and toiletries, letter-writing kits, hydration supplies, puzzles, miniature radios complete with batteries and headphones, and lots, lots more – items many people in hospital might find difficult to buy themselves or simply cannot afford. For some individuals receiving cancer treatment, The Lewis Foundation volunteers are their only regular visitors.
