Allure is charmful with the use of Prussian Blue and Ultramarine. These colours mixed with crimson and gold provide an escape through fascination of texture, marks and layers.

anThis collection reflects different elements of connections, greatly inspired by pre-pandemic events, travel, exploration, discovery, love and much needed recharge from every day routine.

Each painting is reflective and reminiscent of a time and place. The depths of each painting can be compared to the depths of the Black Forest, Germany. The vibrancy of the pigments reminiscent of colourful North and Southern India ,as well as Swiss influence of architecture, colours and patterns which infuses the painting with an overall ‘fresh’ feel.

Luanna has mastered a simplistic technique of layering mixed media horizontally and vertically to create both balance and range, the use of 24ct gold and silver leaf enhances these levels of perspectives whilst creating space and light, but mostly importantly depth.

Influential artists from the romanticism period have inspired luanna’s latest body of works, such as The Hudson River artists, In particular Thomas Coles ‘Garden of Eden’ This made Luanna question techniques of abstract painting vs the fine brushwork of fine oil painting and where abstraction would sit if crossed between. Although her paintings are far different to the masters of that time, Luanna aims to recreate the same sensation; Looking through trees, past the river And into the sky.
